Part of the Phil Warsop collection. Since its inception, the E3L has been the benchmark of comparison for virtually all other Eb/D trumpets in the marketplace. Favored by nearly every major orchestral musician and soloist throughout the world, the E3L offers balanced resistance, outstanding intonation and an even feel in all registers. This is part of a matched set; rather than change the slides and bells when converting between Eb and D, Phil selected two horns (their serial numbers only 1 digit apart) and set one up as Eb and one as D. Phil Warsop was the Director of Music Operations at Schilke Music from 1973-1975, as well as their custom mouthpiece designer. These horns from Phil’s personal collection were hand selected at the factory in Chicago and served Phil for many years in his later career as a trumpet player in many symphony orchestras throughout Michigan.
